Privacy

Parka records bike-park rides and removes chairlift vertical before uploading them to your Strava account. This explains what we collect and why. Plain and short, because that's the whole policy.

What Parka collects

• Location — your ride's GPS track, recorded on your phone while you're actively recording. Used to map the ride and detect which lifts you rode.
• Motion & barometer — used for accurate elevation.
• Heart rate — only if you connect a Bluetooth strap; recorded into the activity like any fitness app.
• Strava connection — if you connect Strava, we store access/refresh tokens (encrypted) to upload your cleaned rides on your behalf. We never see your Strava password.

How it's used

Your ride is processed to remove lift vertical and uploaded to your own Strava account. That's it. Parka does not sell data, does not use it for advertising, and does not use it to train machine-learning models.

Website analytics

We count pageviews with Fathom Analytics, which is cookieless: no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no ad networks, nothing joined to your account or your rides. We see that a page was viewed, not who viewed it. If your browser sends Do Not Track, we don't count you at all.

Storage & retention

Your rides stay in your account until you delete them. We don't expire them on a timer — the whole point of Parka is the ride history you're building, and a ride you recorded three seasons ago is still yours.

When you delete a ride — in the app or on the web — it disappears from both immediately. The data behind it (the raw GPS trail, the derived track, the cleaned file) is held for 30 days in case you deleted it by mistake, then permanently deleted. Email us inside that window and we can bring it back; after it, it's gone and we can't. A ride already uploaded to Strava lives in your Strava account too — deleting it here doesn't touch it there.

Strava tokens are stored encrypted until you disconnect.

Your control

Disconnect Strava at any time from your Strava settings — Parka is notified and deletes your tokens and associated data within 48 hours. Deleting your account deletes everything we hold about you right away, with no 30-day wait. To delete everything, or with any question, email hello@parka.app.

Parka uses the Strava API. Your Strava data is shown only to you, per Strava's API Agreement. "Powered by Strava."
